It's Time to Pick Your Favorite Blooms and Savor the Season

This summer, experience the beauty and charm of Alabama agriculture by visiting a Sweet Grown Alabama U-pick flower farm. When most people think of Alabama in the summer, they picture ripe tomatoes, sweet corn and juicy peaches piled high at the local farmer's market. However, there's another homegrown treasure thriving in our warm, sunny climate, and that’s seasonal flowers. With rows of colorful blooms stretching as far as the eye can see, these farms offer the perfect setting for a relaxing day outdoors. Whether you're gathering sunflowers or zinnias, there's something special about hand-picking your own bouquet straight from the field.

Not only is it a great way to enjoy time with friends or family, but it's also a chance to support local farmers and take home a piece of Alabama’s natural beauty. To plan your perfect flower-picking adventure, check out the Sweet Grown Alabama U-pick guide, your go-to resource for finding nearby farms and available picking times. Snap a few photos and immerse yourself in the sights and scents of summer, and you'll leave with flowers in hand and memories that last.
