Born and raised in South Alabama, I spent my childhood summers at my grandpa’s farm in Opp. It was there I first learned to savor the flavors of the homestead and cherish precious time with family. Years later, I found myself and my true love, my husband Mike, in Petaluma, California.

After years out West, we’re thrilled to have retired to Opp and rejoined my childhood community. The salt-of-the-earth people and community-centered culture remind us of everything we loved about Petaluma. Now, we’re pouring our hearts into our business, Petaluma Gardens, where we keep bees, nurture flowers, grow vegetables, and harvest pecans.

We’re embracing a slower, sweeter pace of life, and we’re so grateful to share it with all of you. Thank you for being a part of our journey!

We have a flower barn that has a grow room with heated mats and grow lights. We have a walk in cooler to keep flowers fresh until you pick them up. I will have a farmstand at the end of my driveway on HWY 84 E (headed toward Elba) that will be open Friday and Saturdays 8-until sold out. I take orders for specialty bouquets and DIY buckets of flowers. For a fee we are able to host garden clubs and small parties. We will have mini photo sessions in conjunction with a professional photographer through out the year. We also have bees and will have honey in June. I also grow and sell okra, figs a pecans.
