In this class, you will learn about butterflies and make an observation house so you can catch your butterflies and watch them before releasing them. Snacks will be provided and registration includes one adult and one child.

Fall 2024 Practical Beekeeping Workshop
The Auburn University Bee Lab and Alabama Extension are hosting a one-day workshop on fall beekeeping management practices. Anyone who wants to see demonstrations and get hands-on practice with fall beekeeping activities, is welcome!
Location: Auburn, AL (exact location will be communicated to participants) Come prepared to be outdoors for a large portion of the day. Bathrooms are available.
Cost: $40 (includes lunch and snacks)
Topics will include: Assessing colonies for potential survival, Varroa and other important pests, To feed or not to feed Extracting honey Wax processing
Equipment: Participants are expected to bring their own personal protective equipment (a hat and veil at minimum).
