Bounty and Grace- A Forkable Event

Sweet Grown Alabama members Monroeville Market Days are hosting a special farm to table dinner event under the stars in Monroeville on the Old County Courthouse Museum south lawn. You’re invited to Bounty & Grace: a Forkable Event on Thursday, June 16 to celebrate locally grown gardens and farms at 6:30 p.m. The meal will be created and prepared by Monroeville Market Days farmers with their own family recipes. Prices are a la carte. We highly encourage participants bring $60 per plate. Reserve seating only by contacting Monroeville Market Days Farmers Market Manager/Special Events Coordinator Dawn Brewton at 251-923-7470.

Our menu includes USDA grass-fed beef, peaches and cream corn on the cob, zucchini boats filled with home-grown vegetables topped with cheese, cucumber tomato salad, stuffed jalapeno peppers wrapped in bacon, red potatoes, watermelon and grilled Clanton peaches drizzled with local honey. Homemade bread and desserts will be available by the slice or whole, along with beverages.

Special thanks to our growers Brushy Creek Cattle Company, Colquett Farms, Corbetts Farm, Penton Farms, Croley Farms and Harvesting to Feed the Community. Table decorations will be provided by the Monroeville Garden Club, and musical entertainment by the band “Friends from Low Places.”

COVID-19 testing will be available onsite for those wishing to be tested before entry.

Special thanks to the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, Sweet Grown Alabama, Monroe County Extension, Monroe County Museum and the Monroeville/Monroe County Economic Development Authority for their support of this event.
