At Ole’ House Farms we grow several varieties of potatoes, corn, squash, cucumbers and watermelon. We sell to local farmer market as well as right out of our barn. This past year we also grew crowder peas and pink eyes. We are a small operation and fortunately we have great friends that help us and in turn get fresh vegetables to share with their families. Tim use to grow potatoes for Frito Lay many years ago before he took a different career path. But he just couldn’t get the dirt out of his nails! He absolutely loves planting a seed and watch it grow. At Ole’ House Farms we pride ourselves in providing good quality vegetables to our locals. Another thing we are proud of is our relationship with Prodisee Pantry and Feeding the Gulf Coast. Social media has been a good avenue for us. Our customers contact us to see what we have and we are always available to make arrangements for pick up. Brenda’s favorite part of the operation is socializing! Once she went to meet someone at the barn from the field to pick up and pay for a sack of corn…three hours later she returned to the field! Her excuse was that “customer service means a lot so I do what I need to do”!
