HD Farm

HD Farm is a small family farm in east central Alabama located near the town of Talladega and the fastest track in NASCAR - The Talladega Superspeedway. HD Farm exclusively raises sheep rotationally grazed on high quality pastures with diverse forages that provide year-round grazing. Owners Henry Dorough and Paula Burke are both County Extension Agents for Auburn University and the University of Georgia, respectively, and both have an extensive background in livestock and forage production. They focus on using non-biased, research-based information that supports sustainable farming practices.

HD Farm sells whole lambs and retail cuts straight from the farm, and on a part-time basis through The Market at Pepper Place in Birmingham. HD Farm lamb can also be found on special occasions at several restaurants in the Anniston and Oxford area. A variety of retail lamb products are available including, ground lamb, rib and loin chops, rack of lamb, leg of lamb (traditional bone-in and boneless) shank, boneless stew meat, osso buco style shank, soup bones and more. All of our products are USDA inspected.

We also offer dried herbs including rosemary, basil, sage and oregano and pet treats made from lamb hearts, kidneys and liver.

The farm is open to guests by appointment to purchase products or to tour the operation and learn more about our farm.
