Circle V Farm & Lumber

Fosters, Alabama

Circle V Farm & Lumber is the home site of Hunter and Jessica Vick. In 2022, we bought our small farm with the traditional idea of raising cattle and growing vegetables. Though we still do that, our farm's primary use is to mill the Eastern Red Cedars that we remove through our land management services business, Land Revival. The cedars milled on our farm are part of our specialized logging services for restoring the Black Belt Prairie within Alabama and Mississippi.
Rather than cutting the trees and leaving them in the traditional methods, we carefully log the cedars to help provide cost-alternatives to landowners while using these trees that have produced high-quality cedar material.
All cedar lumber milled at Circle V Farm & Lumber was cut as a tree by us and then milled as a log by us. We remove the trees in a way to support the restoration of the native grasses within the Black Belt Prairie.

From cants, closets, to compost bins, we have and can mill cedar lumber for many different projects.

But why Circle V? A circle has no stopping points. It's continuous. Just like a circle, we believe that in order to leave a beautiful Alabama for future generations, we must always be continuing the efforts in land stewardship. Using our farm to foster this is what we try to do with milling the cedars.
