Fairhope Salt Company is Alabama’s Gulf-to-table sea salt maker, crafting small-batch salts from the waters of the Gulf. We collect seawater locally, filter it, concentrate it, and slowly evaporate it right in the heart of Fairhope to create bright, clean salt with beautiful texture from delicate finishing flakes to versatile everyday grinds and chef-forward blends.

Salt has long been part of life on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Fairhope Salt Company exists to bring that heritage forward in a modern way, harvesting local Gulf water and turning it into clean, bright salt with beautiful texture for everyday cooking and finishing. What began as an idea became a craft, and now we’re building Fairhope Salt Company as a long-term Alabama legacy brand rooted in place, seasonality, and Gulf Coast food culture.

Where and when to buy
We sell year-round through our website, local pickups, and pop-ups/markets as inventory allows. Salt production is seasonal by nature, warmer months increase our harvest capacity so some items release in small batches and can sell out.
