We make fresh artisan sourdough bread using fresh herbs and jalapeño peppers grown in our small garden. I learned a long time ago in culinary school that using the freshest ingredients will make a huge difference, and you can taste it.
We also offer sourdough scones that are made with fresh fruits from our local farmers (peaches from Wisner‘s farms) and from our home garden. Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries when in season.
We also offer a variety of artisan sourdough breads. Some of our most popular breads are jalapeño/cheddar, rosemary/ garlic, sun-dried, tomato/basil, and cinnamon swirl.
We have the cutest little bread stand that we open on Thursdays starting at 10am. Why 10am? Because that gives us time to bake everything that morning, making it the freshest bread you can get around town.
The stand is a self-serve type stand meaning: you choose from breads, scones, cakes and cookies. Add your total up of the items you got, and pay with PayPal, Venmo, or cash. We also have brown bags (instead of plastic) for easy carry available in the stand. If you don’t see what you are looking for, always order online (Littlehomebakes.com) and we will place it in the bread stand with your name on it about 30 minutes before you arrive, or we will run it out to your car. We have been open almost two years now and love growing our peppers and herbs for our breads making it even healthier. We also set up at The Guntersville Farmers Markets on Saturday mornings 7:30am-12pm but we usually sell out by 11am. So you have to come early to get the good stuff!
Follow us on Facebook Littlehomebakes because we post where we are going to be next, like a festival or a bizarre and even have behind the scenes of the breadmaking process.
Not to worry about the farmers markets ending in October. Because we are open all year long, just order online and we can deliver it or you can pick up at the bread stand.
We absolutely love serving our community with fresh healthy bread options.
