Hines Family Farm, LLC is Killen's best kept secret, nestled in the heart of the Green Hill community. We are a first generation, veteran owned farm. While we specialize in fresh strawberries in the spring and multiple varieties of both heirloom and hybrid tomatoes in the summer, we have a full line of produce from spring through late summer available at the on-farm store Tuesday to Saturday each week (depending on the season), and The Farmers Market at Killen Park on Saturdays! We have also partnered with other growers and makers to ensure when you come to our farm store, you have a wonderful selection of value-added products and other farm fresh products like eggs, elderberry syrup, candies, fried pies, honey and so much more!

 

The 2025 season we plan on opening up the you-pick strawberry area again so that folks in the northwest corner of the state have a place to go to experience the fun (and the work) of picking fresh, fully ripe strawberries to enjoy.

 

One item we have gained a large following with is our mustard slaw. We know that fresh mustard slaw making is a dying art with very little commercially produced products available. After perfecting the base recipe using mainly crops grown by us or on farms of other local producers we know and trust, we have expanded the mustard slaw heat levels from mild all the way up to Carolina Reaper pepper!
