1. Who is Bobbi Thomas?

Bobbi Sue Thomas, better known online as Bobbi with the Eye, is a lifestyle, fashion and community-focused content creator based in Baldwin County, Alabama. I’m a wife, a mom of two teenage girls and a proud dog mom. My content is rooted in real life: busy schedules, affordable style, family moments and finding joy in the everyday.

Alabama isn’t just where I live, it’s home. From Daphne and Fairhope to Mobile and beyond, my ties to this community run deep, and I love highlighting the places, people and small businesses that make our area so special. I’m passionate about showing that you can live beautifully and intentionally without it feeling overdone or out of reach, and I love using my platform to connect people, uplift others and share stories that feel genuine and relatable.

2. How did you begin your social media / influencer journey?

My social media journey started very organically. I was working a 9 to 5 career while sharing outfits, affordable finds and everyday life simply because I enjoyed it and loved helping others find things that made them feel confident. I was just being myself and showing up consistently and it just started to take off. People began to resonate with me and women started to feel seen and inspired.

Over time, brands and local businesses began reaching out, and I realized there was real value in authentic storytelling and community-driven content. What started as a creative outlet grew into meaningful partnerships, and eventually, I took a leap of faith to pursue content creation full-time. That transition allowed me to focus even more on high-quality storytelling, brand collaborations, and using my platform with intention. It has also allowed me time to give back to the communities in which I work and live in and have more flexibility for my family!

3. What is your all-time favorite meal?

That’s a tough one because it truly depends on my mood. At home, my husband is the best cook—so good that he’s even created his own little series called Dining with Doug. Some of my all-time favorites are his chicken orzo and his chicken Caesar pasta salad—simple, comforting, and always a hit with our family.

When we’re eating out, we love seafood and a great steak, especially when they’re paired with fresh, local vegetables. There’s just something about enjoying a meal that highlights seasonal ingredients and flavors from right here in our community, it makes it that much more special.

4) What drives you to promote your community and local products?

Promoting my community comes naturally because it’s who I am and where I come from. I believe strongly in supporting local businesses, especially those built by people who pour their heart into what they do. Many of these brands are run by neighbors, friends and families, and I love being able to use my platform to help tell their stories and connect them with new customers.

There’s something powerful about showing that local products and businesses can stand shoulder to shoulder with national brands. I’m driven by the idea that when we support our community, we all rise together—and if I can use my voice to shine a light on something special happening right here at home, that’s always a yes for me.

5. Where is your favorite spot in Alabama?

That’s such a hard question because Alabama has so many places that feel like home to me. I’ve grown up in Mobile and Baldwin County, and it’s hard to beat a sunset at the Fairhope Pier overlooking the bay—it’s one of those moments that never gets old.

I also love the white sandy beaches of Orange Beach, a perfect day on Lake Martin, and ending it with a night game at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Each of those places represents a different side of Alabama that I love, from peaceful and coastal to energetic and full of tradition, and together they capture what makes this state so special to me.

6. If you had to pick one to keep, which would you choose and why?

If I had to choose just one, it would be local watermelon. Both of my daughters love it, and it instantly takes me back to my own childhood. There’s nothing more nostalgic than watermelon in the summertime. It feels like sweet summer in the South, and honestly, my girls would eat it year-round if they could.

That said, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit how much joy fresh, locally grown flowers bring me, and we always keep local honey on hand for yogurt bowls or a little extra comfort in hot tea. But when it comes down to it, watermelon wins every time. It's family, memories and summertime all wrapped into one.
