Sweet Grown Alabama Group Fundraising Guide

Sweet Grown Alabama Group Fundraising Guide

Tired of the same old wrapping paper or candy bar sale fundraising projects? Does it just seem wrong for your class or group to be peddling products made in a foreign country and sending hard-earned money from your community to a major corporation miles away from Alabama? Sweet Grown Alabama has your answer to the fundraiser blues! Fantastic farmers across the state of Alabama offer group fundraising opportunities that allow your class or team to sell a product your family and neighbors actually WANT to purchase, while also keeping every dollar from these sales right here in our state.

Schools and civic groups in Alabama have already seen money returned to their organizations as a result of these fundraisers, and we’ve compiled the guide below for you to explore new options that parents may dread just a little less when those forms come home in a backpack or church bulletin.

Futral Farms
Pecans | Woodland, AL

Futral Farms in Woodland partners with your group to create an order form branded with Futral Farms and your organization’s logo. They offer pecan pieces and halves for your group to sell, and up to 50% of your group’s sales are returned back to your organization! Suggested pricing is $15 for one pound of pecan halves and $13 for one pound of pecan pieces. Once money and order forms are collected, the bulk order will be returned to you for easy distribution to your purchasers!

Priester’s Pecans
Pecans, Pies and Pecan Candies | Fort Deposit, AL

Fundraising with Priester's Pecans offers a delicious and effective way for organizations to meet their goals. Known for their high-quality Southern pecans and gourmet treats, Priester's provides a variety of popular products, including pecan pies, pralines and gift tins that are easy to sell and perfect for holiday seasons or special events. Their fundraising program is designed to be straightforward, with helpful support materials to make the process smooth for schools, churches, sports teams and other groups.

Blue Ridge Cattle Co.
Beef and Pork | Cullman, AL

Blue Ridge Cattle Company offers USDA-inspected beef or pork shares ideal for raffle-style fundraisers. In one successful example, a half beef share valued at approximately $2,800 was raffled off by selling 500 tickets at $20 each - raising $10,000 total. After covering the beef cost, the remaining $7,200 went directly back into the program. Groups can choose to raffle the beef alone or bundle it with a deep freezer for added appeal. If the freezer is provided by the farm, additional cost is incurred, but securing a donated freezer from a local business or other donor is a great way to boost value and preserve profit.
