Alabama Pot Roast

Ingredients:

  • Alabama 3 lb akaushi chuck roast
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil 
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon au jus powder
  • 1/4 stick of butter

Directions:
 

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet with olive oil.
  2. Sear the roast on all sides.
  3. Place in Instant Pot or slow cooker
  4. Sprinkle with ranch seasoning and au jus powder
  5. Add pepperoncini peppers on top for flavor
  6. Add a few slices of butter
  7. In Instant Pot: cook on high pressure for 65-70 minutes.
  8. In slow cooker: cook on low for 6 hours.
  9. Pull apart and serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
