Fall 2024 Practical Beekeeping Workshop
The Auburn University Bee Lab and Alabama Extension are hosting a one-day workshop on fall beekeeping management practices. Anyone who wants to see demonstrations and get hands-on practice with fall beekeeping activities, is welcome!
Location: Auburn, AL (exact location will be communicated to participants) Come prepared to be outdoors for a large portion of the day. Bathrooms are available.
Cost: $40 (includes lunch and snacks)
Topics will include: Assessing colonies for potential survival, Varroa and other important pests, To feed or not to feed Extracting honey Wax processing
Equipment: Participants are expected to bring their own personal protective equipment (a hat and veil at minimum).
